I love trying new things, I really do! And book journaling is a new thing for me, a new thing that I am very eager to start! I heard about book journaling from my mom when she did a reading retreat. She showed me a few pictures of book journals and I got very excited and inspired to try one of my own.
Now, journaling does not necessarily have to look the same way for everyone. Some people like to journal in words, (I do this a lot) and some people like to journal in pictures (this would be really cool too so I think I’ll try both). So you don’t have to feel obligated to do it in one specific way. I have a journal that is designated for remembering which books I have read, when I read them, who I would recommend the book to, and so one and so forth. I really like this one and try to remember to write in it after I finish a book (no, I don’t remember all the time).
But I have a rather different vision for my next one. I want it to be beautiful, intricate, and colorful. I want it to be full of water color pictures and neat calligraphy descriptions and notes. I want to pack that notebook to the brim with my love for literature! Have I stared this yet? No, but I will soon! And I want to inspire you, my readers, to make a reading journal of your own! I don’t want yours to look like mine, I want it to be your own. Of course, if you feel inspired by mine that’s not a problem in the least, but I want to encourage you to get creative and have fun!
Here are a few pictures of other people’s reading journals. Time to get creative!!
